ComicPark Erfurt 2019

On 27.+28.04.2019 took place in Erfurt EGApark again the ComicPark. After I was present both days with K.I.T.T. in September 2018, I wanted to be there again this year - but this time one day should be enough for me. Originally I only wanted to be there on Saturday, but since I was sick the week before, I postponed my participation to Sunday. In retrospect, that was lucky, because on that day the weather was much better.
Although I drove to the EGApark in the drizzle in the morning, it stopped while I was setting up the car and soon the clouds disappeared almost completely. On Saturday it was nice in the morning, but in the afternoon it rained more often.
Also this year K.I.T.T. was not the only movie car. After the organizer had seen last year that K.I.T.T. and Ecto-1 were very popular for the visitors, this year, in addition to K.I.T.T., the time travel DeLorean from "Back to the Future" and a "Jurassic Park" Explorer by Motoreum.de, a Tumbler from "Batman Begins" by Olli Wirtz as well as a car and a motorcycle in "Mad Max" dystopia style were on exhibition.
This year all vehicles were outside and could therefore be viewed by all park visitors.

In the early morning the sun already came out and more and more visitors came into the park - among them a lot of cosplayers, to whom the ComicPark with its comic and manga themes mainly addresses itself.
I myself spent most of the time with Michael from Motoreum.de, who had brought both the "Jurassic Park" Explorer and his time-travel DeLorean. As a big fan of "Back to the Future" and operator of the biggest German fansite about the trilogy the latter interested me the most, of course.

Around noon, the "Avengers live" also showed up at the vehicles. I already know Miloud and his friends from various Comic Cons. Therefore, I was very happy about the reunion in my hometown.
This time they featured Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor, Black Panther and Okoye.

My family was also thrilled by the gang. This time, in addition to my wife and my two sons (almost 2 and almost 8), my sister-in-law, 2 nieces (14 and 15) and my nephew (6) were also there. Even if you can hardly believe it: They knew K.I.T.T. only from pictures so far. So it was even nicer to be able to see it in full function here. My nieces were also allowed to take a seat in the DeLorean. A special highlight for them, too.

Before the vehicles started their journey home again in the evening, I took the opportunity for a few photos with K.I.T.T. for my movie car gallery.
And so ComicPark 2019 ended once again with a highlight. It was a lot of fun again this year and I think I will be there again next year. Besides the fact it takes place in my hometown, the EGAPark is really a great location for this event.
