SchleFaZ Erfurt 2024
  • On 4th June 2024 German comedians Oliver Kalkofe and Peter Rütten arrived with their SchleFaZ-Tour in my hometown Erfurt. I have been a big fan of "Kalkofes Mattscheibe" since 1994 and also by Peter Rütten as head writer and funny voice of the German late night show "Die Harald-Schmidt-Show" since 1998, so of course I got myself a ticket.
  • As I was familiar with his contribution to the "Knight Guide" within the 40th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray box from Turbine, I know that Oliver Kalkofe has a certain affinity for "Knight Rider", I asked the management in advance whether they would be interested in taking a few photos with the car when it arrived at the Old Opera in Erfurt. To my delight, they agreed, so I was able to meet them there in advance at around 5:00 PM.
  • Olli and Peter were also very enthusiastic about K.I.T.T., posing for photos, selfies and signing autographs. A successful start to a very funny evening...

  • The program began at 7 :00 PM in the Old Opera. Because "SchlaFaZ - The worst movies of all time" was surprisingly canceled on Tele5, the decision was made to bring the show to the stage and take it on tour. The show will now be continued on German channels NITRO and RTL+ from August 2024.
  • For each city, 3 films were drawn in advance and the audience could vote on site using an applause meter to decide which film would actually be shown. For Erfurt "No Holds Barred" with Hulk Hogan, "Masters of the Universe" with Dolph Lundgren and the 1957 black-and-white film "The Giant Claw" were up for voting. I myself would have been most pleased with MOTU, who actually won the vote with 66 dB against 63 dB (Giant Claw) and significantly fewer dB for "No Holds Barred". However, as the lead was supposed to be at least 5 dB, there was another play-off, which in the end was won by the giant claw with a lead of just 1 dB at 71 dB. A first play-off resulted in exactly 70 dB for both films.
  • Before the vote, Olli and Peter showed lots of outtakes from the 164 episodes so far (including "Knight Rider 2000") and answered questions from the audience that could be sent in in advance. The movie started shortly after 8:00 PM and was shown in full length as it was shown on SchleFaZ on Tele5.
  • After the end of the really bad but, thanks to SchleFaZ, incredibly funny movie, Olli and Peter came on stage again and finally said goodbye to the audience. Erfurt was the last stop of the tour. Now they will continue with new episodes on NITRO in August.

  • In addition to normal tickets, so-called "meet-and-greet photo tickets" were also offered for the shows for only about 10 Euros more, which included a photo shoot with Olli and Peter after the show and an autograph session. As a fan of the two of them, I had of course also bought such a ticket and now also got my photo. There was also a pre-signed autograph card for each participant and they also signed stuff after the photoshoot. I no longer had to do that as I had already got my autographs at our meeting with K.I.T.T. in advance.
  • All in all, a VERY successful evening! Many thanks to Olli, Peter and the FSR team for making everything possible 🙂
