2008-04-30 - Dashboard primed

Yesterday, I brought my dashboard to the paint shop. As anticipated, they were not very happy with the work. We used a lot of filler at the top of the dash, which could break apart sooner or later. So they decided to remove it completely and to use fiberglass instead. Target date for getting it back was May 14th.
Today, they called me and told me, that my dash has already been primed and that I could take a look at it, what I did.
The paint shop really did a great job. The dash looks better than ever expected. The surface is absolutely smooth and the voicebox looks fantastic. I'm very happy with their work. I can pick up the finished dashboard, speaker covers, TV frame and gullwing steering wheel at the beginning of next week.
